CONSTITUTION AND RULES (AMENDED AUGUST 2007)
CONSTITUTION
1 The following clubs are founder members of the Scottish Supporters’ Football League (hereinafter known as “The League”):
Alloa Supporters’ AFC
Dundee Supporters Club (Edinburgh) AFC
Dundee United Supporters Club (Edinburgh & Lothian’s) AFC
Gorgie Hearts Supporters AFC
Meadowbank Thistle Supporters AFC
Meadowbank Thistle Supporters Team 1985 AFC
Partick Thistle Supporters Club (St Georges Cross) AFC
Raith Rovers Supporters Club AFC
2 The object of the League will be to foster and develop the game of amateur football between the supporters of Scotland’s senior clubs in an atmosphere of trust and friendliness.
3 The executive committee will consist of seven members being the three office bearers as defined in article 7, plus four other committee members from league clubs. The Quorum for Executive meetings will be four.
The remit of the Executive Committee will be to oversee the duties of the Office Bearers, to decide on matters of discipline and generally take decisions to facilitate the efficient operation of the Scottish Supporters’ Football League. The committee will have the power to suspend a club or player or impose fines or bonds on member clubs as may become necessary.
4 The Chairman, (or elected deputy in his absence), will hold the casting vote at all meetings and his rulings shall be final.
At General meetings, each club may have a maximum of two delegates in attendance, however each club will have one vote only and one delegate shall be nominated to cast his club’s vote throughout a meeting. Clubs failing to attend a meeting will, forfeit their right to vote.
At all meetings, delegates must retire whilst deliberation is made on any matter involving their club or any of its members. They will not be allowed to vote on the outcome and will only be readmitted after a decision is reached.
5 All matters will be decided by a simple majority of those present with the exception of the proposed expulsion from the League of a member club which must have the backing of two-thirds, (or nearest round figure), of existing member clubs in order to be implemented.
6 An Annual General Meeting will be held after each season. The General Secretary will decide the date and venue and all member clubs will be informed at leas than three weeks prior to the meeting..
A provisional date for the next Annual General Meeting will be made at each year’s Annual General Meeting
The Executive Committee will meet on a regular basis during the playing season. Additional meetings may be arranged to clear the business in hand
